Course Description
Travel and Tourism is a program which includes the study of management, marketing
and operations of lodging, visitor attractions, recreation, special events, meetings, conferences, travel-
related services, restaurants, and other food services. The sectors of travel are also included such as air,
rail, motor coach, cruise, rental car, and camper/trailer. Students explore career opportunities in the
class. Weekly field trips are scheduled for students to enhance the classroom experience. Technical
certifications as well as 4-year college degrees are available for students who have career interests in
this area or students may begin entry level jobs upon high school graduation.
